Description:
Queen Anne style splat-backed side chair with cyma curved top rail and ears. Splat is reverse-vase style. Legs and posts are squared, with one front, sides, and back stretcher. Front stretcher has rounded edge on top, possibly due to wear. The seat is leather webbing (possibly designed to support a cushion). Label on bottom rail reads: "Mount Holyoke Seminary. Another faded and torn label on the splat reads: 1903 (?).
