Description:
Original label: "French flintlock cavalry pistol. Large, slightly tapering, round, 7 1/2" steel barrel, smooth bore, marked with a worn 82. Black walnut varnished handle, no stock under barrel, round butt with heavy brass butt plate. Rounded hammer, battery, spring, and trigger of steel. 3 1/4" brass combination lock plate, under barrel band, and pan, marked MAUBEUGE. Brass trigger guard. 7 3/4" steel ramrod, threaded at one end, flanged at the other, and carried in a deep hole in the lock plate. Flat steel spring by which the pistol may be carried in the belt. A fine pistol, complete with flint, and in good condition. Weight: 46 ozs."
