Description:
A .32 caliber Smith & Wesson six chamber revolver, which belonged to William Skinner, father of Joseph A. Skinner. Blue steel throughout, smooth, divided, black walnut handle, octagonal barrel, raised sighting ridge with small groove sight at rear, raised oval brass sight at muzzle. Barrel attached by hinge and catch to allow for removal of cylinder. Marked on the barrel: SMITH & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD. MASS. Marked on butt "34851" and on cylinder "Patented April 3, 1855. July 5, 1859. & Dec. 18, 1860". Complete and in excellent condition.
