Description:
Burnside's Civil War U.S. cavalry percussion breech-loading percussion cap carbine. Lever operated. Slide and ring on left side for sling. Patented by A.E. Burnside March 25, 1856. Manufactured at Bristol, Rhode Island by the Burnside Rifle Company, and used by the United States cavalry, 1860-1865.
