Description:
Savage Civil War model lever operated revolver. The rear end of the barrel enters the front end of the chamber, making the joint nearly gas tight and assuring co-axial relation. Two triggers, the rear (ring) one revolving the cylinder and cocking the hammer. Octagonal barrel. Rifled bore. Six chambers. Marked: SAVAGE R.F.A.CO. MIDDLETOWN, CT. H.S.NORTH PATENTED June 17, 1856 January 18, 1859 May 15, 1860.
