Description:
The sheet shows a series of studies for a richly decorated container with two volute handles in black or brown or red. This sheet appears to have been laid over a thicker paper backing, and faint traces of similar designs in black show through the upper layer. On the verso side of the paper are more traces of the design, but these seem to have been transferred from another sheet, possibly once stored beneath this object, rather than drawn directly.
