Description:
Mummiform figure originally of turquoise faience, but discolored to pale greenish white except for portions on back that retain original color. Arms crossed, right over left. Slight protrusions for hands. Molded uraeus on brow. Flat back. Slight traces of black paint for eyes, two hoes, text column below hands, headband with streamers, and rectangular seed bag suspended from shoulders on back. All painted details are very faint. Text is illegible, but the lower outline of a cartouche survives. Uraeus and cartuche normally indicate a king, but here they are for a high-ranking priestess. Object comes from same mold as MH 1910.9.2-5.A.K.
