Description:
A shikishiban-size surimono print showing a monkey dancing Sanbasō, dressed in red robe (with floral and fuku "happiness" character patterns) and black tall hat as a shinto priest with a gohei stick. A saké cup in red and two kyoka verses by Iainhaido Nomimasu on top of the print. The design was possibly designed for the Near Year of Monkey (1812 or 1824).
