Label Text: Lucinda Childs' DANCE, is an important collaboration between Childs's choreography, Sol LeWitt's art and Philip Glass's music. "It's widely known for breaking ground" in this mixture, wrote IndyWeek in 2017, "LeWitt, known for enormous wall-sized paintings, spliced and stacked images of Childs's dancers to create a literal motion picture that the dancers onstage movred with." Childs became a leader in abstract minimalism with Glass (she also choreographed Einstein on the Beach) and was awarded the 2017 Scripps Award from the American Dance Festival.
