Label Text:
SKINNER CATALOGUE: A white glazed stoneware wash basin, ornamented with semi gadroon bands around the edge and the bottom. A crack has been mended with cement. Not marked. These basins, with pitchers to match, set on small wash stands, were regularly part of the bedroom furnishings of the 19th century, before the advent of the bathroom. Height 4 1/4" Diam. 12 3/8". Cat. 12/30/1936.
