Label Text: SKINNER CATALOGUE: A tremendous burl bowl in ash, shaped with a gouge and draw shave, round, with heavy overhanging lip around the rim. May have been used for storing seeds in the attic or for mash or butter. Bought from Wallace Nutting, who found it in Michigan. A large majority of ash burl bowls come originally from the state of New York. Diam. Diam. 30 1/2" Depth 9 3/4". Cat. 12/8/1935 8/30/1936. On top of table with benches. -MG, 10/16/06
