Description:
The Supai kachina is carved as most Supai figures are. He displays a rayed feather headpiece, a blue horn and red ear, a blue face with painted geometric features, and a yarn neckpiece representing Juniper or Douglas Fir branches. His multicolored body is entwined with numerous sashes across his chest, as well as a cotton and wool belt popular amongst male kachina dancers. His white apron displays a colorful pattern. One arm has a black yarn bracelet, while the other has a turquoise and silver cuff. He hold a bow in his hand. On his feet are decorated boots. He stands on top of a wooden platform, meaning that he was made and sold to non-Native consumers. AP2018
