Description:
These two small kachinas, displayed on a single wooden platform, were undoubtedly made for the tourist trade. Although difficult to identify, they feature black and white painted heads with carved eyes, mouths, and horns. Feathers are seen on top of their heads. Their entire bodies are covered in feather "dresses," and yarn is seen on the back of their heads. They may or may not be made out of carved cottonwood root--instead, a different type of wood might have been used for these tourist items. AP2018
