Description:
This carved Navajo Tasaf kachina has a red feather headpiece on top of his gray head (with painted eyes and a yellow beak), a Douglas Fir or Juniper neckpiece, a red sash across his chest (painted with white vertical stripes), two white arm bands, two black yarn bracelets, a white wool sash around his waist, a decorated white apron, and red boots. Shown in motion atop a wooden platform, he holds a small gourd rattle and a branch of Douglas Fir or Juniper in his hands. He was sold for the tourist trade. AP2018
