Description: This wooden Yei Be Chei dancer has a blue mask with painted eyes and a carved yellow "beak," a fur and feather headpiece, a "wreath" around his neck made of greenery, and a long, glass bead necklace that resembles turquoise jewelry. The back of the dancer's head is painted white (as is his skin), and yarn and fox fur extend from his back. He wears a black concha belt with sequins (symbolizing silver medallions) and a pink "kilt" with sequins and ribbon. His legs are decorated with yarn ties and he wears small, black and red shoes. As is common of male Yei Be Chei dancers, he carries a white gourd rattle and a branch in his hands. AP2018
