Description:
A mohra (deity) is an divine image in the form of a bust which was used in procession during festivals. Almost all depict Shiva or his spouse Uma and are made of brass using the lost-wax casting method. Although technical and stylistic aspects recall much older metalwork, going back to the 14th century, this represents the middle ground between ancient cultural traditions and modern practice.
