SKINNER CATALOGUE: A very fine large wooden butter box, such as was used for shipping butter. Box of quarter inch ash, with 8 5/8" straight lap, held with copper tacks. Bottom of two matched pieces of ash, held to the sides with wooden pegs. Cover of two pieces of native pine, pegged to an ash rim, also straight lapped and copper tacked. The whole has been recently varnished. Inside: diam. 16" depth 5 1/2". Cat. 11/30/1936.
