Description:
This small carved wooden bowl represents a sea lion whose head is present towards the front of the bowl, while the animal's body and flippers encompass the rest of the vessel. The rim of the bowl is likely inlaid with pieces of antler and glass seed beads, whereas the sea lion's teeth are cut and squared pieces of ivory. The head is also decorated with white glass beads. The oil dish might have been used, as it shows darkening on the interior and signs of slight wear. AP2018
