Description:
Pottery fragment that once formed a large section of the top of a vessel, including parts of the neck and mouth. Made of red ware with a black and light brown interior. Top and bottom edges very rough, most of mouth has crumbled away. Object forms about 3/4 the circumference of the original vessel, and the break exposes the interior. Neck flares to mouth, which has many triangular indentations where mosaic tesserae may have been embedded.
