Description: In this reversed image, Christ is depicted as a young beardless man wearing a chiton and a himation. His right hand forms the two-finger sign of the cross. He is holding an open Bible displaying a passage from Matthew 25:34: “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you.” The halo is not outlined but is indicated by the Greek letters “Ο Ω Ν” ("He Who Is" or "The Existing One”).
Inscribed on the reverse: “This pattern is by Dmitrii Fedorov Kuznetsov.” Further down is an inscription by a later owner who reinforced the lines: “Taken by D[mitrii] Fe[dorovich]. / Retraced by Kornei Fedorov on January 8, 1876.”
