Description:
This small degikup basket was woven for the tourist trade around the Lake Tahoe area. Its coiled white background is created out of dried willow branches, whereas its dark zigzag motif is woven from dried bracken fern and red bud. These materials create dark red and brown or black motifs common in degikup basketry. AP2018
