Description:
This Apache basket tray depicts a dark circle at its center, surrounded by four zigzag lines, small people, and deer on a lighter colored willow background. These designs are woven into the basket, and are shown on its interior and exterior. The dark design color is attributed to "devil's claw," a plant that becomes hard and dark when dried. AP2018
