Description:
ca. late 19th or early 20th century plaster cast of a marble original dating to the Archaic Period, ca. 530 BCE. Two large seated figures are depicted. One looks towards the viewer and holds a kantharos in its right hand; the other is in profile, facing right. Two smaller figures appear on the ground to the right of and facing the larger, seated figures. It is generally accepted that the smaller figures on the right side of the relief are worshipping the two seated figures on the left side of the relief. The original marble relief after which this cast is made is located at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, Germany.
