Description: This composition features the face of a woman who lives in town. Known for her exceptional kindness and compassion, she does everything she can to emotionally support the prisoners and make them feel less isolated from the outer world. At the bottom, the artist depicts another benevolent being, the prison dog Sharik, who survives on kitchen scraps and remained unnoticed by the convicts until the narrator extends him a gesture of kindness.
