Description:
ca. late 19th or early 20th century plaster cast of a Pentelic marble original located on the right side of the south face of the balustrade on the Temple of Athena Nike dating to the Classical Period, ca. 420-410 BCE. This panel depicts a winged Victory either fastening or unfastening her sandal. This is known as the ‘Sandalbinder’ type. The original marble panel is located at the Acropolis Museum in Athens, Greece.
