Description:
In this scene, an inmate recounts how he killed his wife. The composition echoes Orthodox iconography, particularly the Image of Edessa, a cloth believed to bear the miraculous imprint of Christ’s face. This association deepens the scene’s symbolism, underscoring the suffering of the murdered woman.
