Description:
Wooden barber's trade sign with thirty-seven alternating red, white, and blue s-shaped stripes outlined with gilding. The top and bottom of the board have been shaped to form semi-circular projections, which are each decorated with a blue five-pointed star on a gilt background. The lower semi-circular projection appears to be reattached and repainted. The entire sign is outlined in blue, and includes chamfered edges along the front. The back of the sign is covered with a light gray paint. The sign is composed of a single board with three horizontal cross braces on the reverse.
