Description:
In this abstraction of Times Square, New York, the foreground and middle ground are covered by swarms of people. The artist depicts them as a fuzzy black mass, leaving some circles of white faces with minute details in an otherwise muddy and dark scene. The top third of the work shows white rectangles containing vibrant blocks of color--bright lights ablaze against the black background.
