Description: Vertical sheet of tan colored paper with a border design of green, blue, red, tan and black bands. The edge is surrounded with round holes threaded with corresponding colored yarn fringe. The fringe is 2.5 inches long.
Label Text: Tuttle subverts the conventions of Modernist sculpture, with its monumental scale and instead creates small, playful objects in humble materials such as cloth and rope. Tuttle further complicates the viewers experience by often placing his work in an odd way. Either hung very high or very low on the wall, this forces the viewer to reconsider the typical gallery space in relation to their own bodies.
