SKINNER CATALOGUE:
A modern native war club from Northern Rhodesia, South Africa. It consists of a single piece of very light colored, slightly pinkish, fine grain hard wood, the handle being the barked trunk of a young tree, the head, acorn shaped, and evidently cut from the root with a knife. A truly formidable weapon. Handle: 25" x 1 5/16" to 7/8" diam. Head: 3 1/2" x 3 15/16" diam. Cat. 6/4/1937.
