Description:
Ornamental black lacquer box, locked shut. Outside edges and grooved and squat feet are scrolled. On the top of the box are six finials that sit inside square compartments, two pen rests, a black wooden rod that sits in a groove, and a raised box with a sliding lid decorated with a raised elephant sculpture. Elephant has ivory colored tusks.
