Description:
Press molded teapot with vertically ribbed body, applied pierced gallery to the shoulder, bamboo-shaped handle, and molded spout with foliage at the base, domed cover with vertical molding and elongated acorn-shaped knop. Teapot body and cover has stripes of green lead glaze.Condition: This teapot has been damaged and restored.

Teapots listed the account book of William Ellery of Hartford, CT, c. 1775 (Connecticut Museum of History and Culture), called "striped mackeroni" may refer to this design. The 1770 probate inventory for Timothy Woodbridge of Hatfield, MA, listed "1 green & white Teapot" for 1 shilling 2 pence.
