Description:
Dostoevsky describes the bathhouse as a place where prisoners enjoyed bathing. However, the scene itself reminded him of Dante's "Hell". In the center of the black hole is a small figurine of a praying Jew (Isai Fomich). At that time, he was the only Jew in the camp, so all the prisoners hated and bullied him.
