Description:
Leaf-shaped dish of soft-paste porcelain, painted in dark underglaze-blue in the center with a bunch of grapes and two leaves issuing from the short stem handle and superimposed on a veined grape leaf following the outline of the dish below a blue-feathered border on the serrated rim edge, the underside lightly molded with veining. Condition: The rim with a hair crack and small chips and abrasions, some touched up, but others creating a discolored edge.

Pickle leaves were filled with savory pickles during first or second course of dinner or could contain sweetmeats and be incorporated into the dessert service.
