Description:
Tea cup and saucer of soft-paste porcelain, painted in underglaze-blue, iron-red, rose and green and heightened in gilding with a large pierced rock beside peonies and bamboo within a Chinese fenced garden, the interior rim with an ‘egg and flower’ border of an underglaze-blue ‘fish-roe’ band interrupted with four panels of iron-red flowers and leaves. Condition: The cup rim with a tiny chip and small abrasion, and the saucer rim with three ‘peg’ marks and very minor abrasions.
