Description:
Tea cup and saucer of white soft-paste porcelain, painted in underglaze-blue, iron-red and gilding in the ‘Redgrave’ style with the ‘House’ pattern depicting a Chinese river landscape with two figures on a bridge near a small house by a large tree, and with smaller gazebos and two sailboats in the distance, the interior rim with an underglaze-blue trellis diaper border interrupted by four panels of iron-red demi-flowerheads.
Condition: The cup with a small flaw on the exterior rim, and the saucer with minor stacking wear, and the rim with three ‘peg’ marks and a very small chip.
