Description:
Painted red morocco leather slipcase, made in two parts, stamped with a herringbone or crosshatched design with a rosette at the center, on inner sleeve in ink is the inscription, "Bgo" and in pencil below "256", there are two steel and tortoiseshell lancets within the case, these lancets are composed of two thin pieces of tortoiseshell that contain a thin sharp piece of steel, these three pieces are pinned together at one end with a rivet, one of the lancets is stamped "crown/EVANS/LONDON", and the other is stamped "Crown/ EVANS/OLD GRANGE/ LONDON" Condition: the edge of this lancet may have been damaged by beetles.
