Description: Clown costume consisting of a one-piece suit and matching pointed cap, owned by Henry and Helen Flynt. machine-sewn. Suit is back-fastening with a center back placket secured by four red plastic buttons. Front decorated with two orange (synthetic?) pom-poms. Sleeve cuffs, neckline, and leg openings all finished in gathers and trimmed with applied metallic trim. Tag inside the neckline of costume notes "Size 36". Hat has a black elastic band, now detached. The costume is donated in a box marked "Lucile Lockwood/ An Established Gown Shop/ Post Road Greenwich, Conn." This may have been the original retailer of the costume to the couple.
