Description:
Framed hollow cut silhouette: profile of a woman, red sash, New England, poss. Massachusetts, late 1830s. Paper, watercolors, black backing. This silhouette is very similar to a group of silhouettes of known Connecticut River Valley sitters, see: 2006.34.1 and 2006.34.2.
