Description:
Circular plate, rim and cavetto is decorated with a powdered "dead leaf brown" ground color, reserved in the center with an octagonal panel painted in blue a central chinoiserie scene with an insect flitting amidst flowers growing behind a garden fence with grasses in the foreground, and further reserved on the rim with four hexagonal panels alternating with four bellflower-shaped panels, all painted with a stylized floral sprig. Labels on the reverse of the plate read: Ex. Coll. Joseph A. Vizcarra Condition: Minor chips, touch-ups, and abrasions along the edge.
