Description:
Man's black hat worn by Henry Needham Flynt (1893-1970) during the mid-20th century. Henry, along with his wife Helen Geier Flynt (1895-1986), founded the Heritage Foundation, later Historic Deerfield, in 1952. An embossed label on the inside of the hat's crown reads “Brodt’s/ Inc./
WASHINGTON." The embossed initials of the owner, “HNF”, appear on the inside hat band.
