Description:
Photograph in sepia tone of High Street in Turners Falls, Massachusetts; the photo shows three large houses on the unpaved street, the closest house is a large, two story shingle style dwelling. On the reverse is inscribed in ink: "High Street, Turners Falls - About 1890" and printed " PICTURESQUE FRANKLIN CO./ No./ When breezes are soft and skies are fair,/ I steal an hour from study and care/ And hie me away to the woodland scene/ Where wanders the stream with waters green./ The flowers of summer are fairest there,/ And fairest the breath of the summer air;/ And sweetest the golden autumn day/ In silence and sunshine glides away/ Photographed and for sale by/ C. M. Moody, Greenfield, Mass./ Send for Catalogue of Views."
