Description:
White linen towel made from a variation on a twill-weave, sometimes known as an M and O pattern. It is constructed as a single, selvage width. Two braided loops in center for hanging (one at either cut and hemmed end). Each hem is about 1/4" deep. Illegible name inscription ("Martha Barry?) in black ink. The towel descended in the family of the donor, probably in the West Dummerston, Vermont, area.
