Description:
Circular, press molded pearlware saucer with deep curving sides, saucer is transfer printed in underglaze cobalt blue, the design features a multi flower border, and in the center are two herons, near a large lake with a windmill and castle in the distance, a printed mark in underglaze blue "3" is on the reverse of the saucer, modern paper label on the back of the saucer reads: "Lola Henry/gave this/to me./Rhoda Alger's/E.E.M." The pattern is called by the Transferware Collectors Database the "Heron and Kingfisher" pattern. The large birds resemble members of the Heron family and the smaller bird is a kingfisher. So far the pattern name is unrecorded, so it has been given a TCC assigned name. Condition: Excellent
