Description:
Large Chinese export porcelain platter with eight-sides and a sloped rim, well of platter is a large, shallow oval shape; back of platter is flat and unglazed; front of platter is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a cloud design on the four sides, two opposing cloud designs have fish roe decoration and the other two cloud designs have scrolled floral decoration; the border is also decorated with a border of flowers and berries in a swag-like layout, the inner border on the bouge has four floral reserves and repeating pattern of star shaped designs with sunbursts; the center well has a large spray of flowers with five smaller flower sprays surrounding it. Condition: excellent, small chip on rim, some glaze roughness and losses on the rim
