Description: Prince Edward, Duke of York and Albany, KG PC FRS (Edward Augustus; 25 March 1739 – 17 September 1767), was the younger brother of George III of the United Kingdom and the second son of Frederick, Prince of Wales, and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. Copperplate engraving depicts the prince in a masonry and foliate roundel or porthole surround wearing a wig and patterned coat (possibly a brocaded or velvet silk) with a sash and a badge of the Order of the Garter, a crown is on the right hand side of his image, the print is titled "Engraved for the Court Magazine" and "His Royal Highness/ EDWARD/ Duke of York & c & c.", below the title is a large anchor and rope, the print was engraved by Thomas Bonner (1735-1816) based on his painting of Edward, the Duke of York. Condition: good condition, there are pin pricks on the margins of the print, and a crease at the lower left hand corner.
