Description:
Straight-sided, cylindrical cup with applied strap handle, lead-glazed pearlware body, transfer printed decoration on the front of the cup, reads: "A Present/For/Sarah" within a wreath of leaves and flowers, there is also a very faint band of silver luster decoration on the top rim that has almost disappeared; a cup similar to this example was excavated in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and is in the collection of Strawbery Banke Museum.
