Description:
Cylindrical jar with slightly domed base, straight sides, angled shoulders, and rounded spout, circular opening to the jar, covered in a brown iron rich slip, salt-glazed stoneware, Painted in black on underside of jar, "Col. / Putnam/Ct. 108." Originally a part of the Burton N. Gates Collection. The original Gates notecard for this object does not survive.
