Description:
Round inkwell with flat circular base, and pointed top, top has a circular hole in the center for the ink, gray colored clay covered in a salt glaze, painted in red on underside of inkwell, "130" Originally a part of the Burton N. Gates Collection. Original Gates notecard for this object reads, " Ink bottle. Stone ware. Salt glaze. 2 1/2" diam./ Col. Hartford, Ct. 1913. By BNG."
