Description:
Mugs were produced in great quantity by every pottery, yet today few survive, probably due to rough handling in taverns and public houses. Thrown red earthenware mug with slightly flaring cylindrical shape, base is flat with bottom edge being slightly rounded, attached strap handle, covered with an orange colored glaze.
